Christina Bynum-Breaux is a world-renowned photographer of portraits, greeting cards, calendars and children’s books.  Through photography she found a passion for at-risk and homeless children after mentoring a group of middle school children in 1999.  After taking these children into her home, including them on family vacations with her own 5 children, they became a part of her family.

In 2009 after seeing these children break the cycle and change the course of their lives, she founded the non-profit Stepping Stones Foundation as the need was so great in the community.

In 2015 the Stepping Stones Foundation Resale Boutique was established where donations of clothing and home décor sales allow kids to shop for free year –round.  This has given the community a place to volunteer as well as raise awareness.

Christina implemented the programs “Project Perseveranceproviding all the necessary items and tools needed to ensure a successful future. “Project Oasisimproving living conditions and providing needed items for a child to get a good night’s sleep in their current or new environment. “Project Hunger Forceprovides food to children at home or at school. The “Project Work For Itprogram giving them an opportunity to learn a trade, improve self-esteem, and gain a proper work ethic through mentoring.
